Draft Paper on Export Adjustment – Final Version
The European Commission released on 2 July a new communication “Delivering on the Clean Industrial Deal I”[1], addressing CBAM and proposing compensating carbon-heavy manufacturers for emission costs incurred while making products for export.
The confirmation that the European Commission will propose a solution for the exports of CBAM goods is welcome by AEGIS Europe. AEGIS Europe regrets however the lack of clarity about the solution to be proposed by the European Commission by end-2025 and wants to express the urgency of a robust, easy to manage export solution for European export-oriented companies.
